Ed Stallknecht never owned an airplane but while in the Marines he learned to fly and joined the Quantico Flying Club where members could rent small airplanes. According to a very small article published in June, 1969 in the Potomac News Ed was flying out of Woodbridge Airport about once a month to survey possible land tracts he could sell. In the 1970s it's evident he's flying out of Quantico's Flying Club with several pictures of a small plane with tail number N75MC.
