This cemetery was noticed on the 1998 edition of Prince William County Arlington Drafting Company (known as ADC) Map, page 8, 13B by Ron Turner around 2000 and was looked for at the location noted on the map. The actual location was determined by David Roberts, who found it while hunting on the property and provided the location on June 2, 2017.
David Cuff and Robert Moser visited the cemetery on June 11, 2017 to view the condition. Several weeks later David Cuff visited the location with County employees to try to determine if the cemetery was on county owned property (GPIN 7594-25-0511). The consensus was inconclusive and agreed the area would need to be surveyed to determine property lines but we were leaning towards the cemetery being just outside of the county owned parcel.
This is a black family cemetery. This is likely why it was placed so far away from a main road, which aided in it's unknown status for many years.
